Why Should I apply to Walc?

We are a small friendly care home. We care for our clients and our employees. We provide our caregivers with recognised qualifications and on-going relevant training. We truly believe that with Walc you will have a career not just a job.

What types of shifts do you offer?

We have a continental shift pattern of 4 or 4 off, which we believe allows staff the time to relax and come back fresh into work. Our shifts are varied from doing early / late shifts including nights and sleepings when available.

Where can I work?

We have one exclusive care home for a maximum of 4 residents and we are situated in a beautiful area on the Dorset coast, Swanage. So getting out and about to visit some outstanding places whilst supporting our clients is almost a daily experience. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk and the town centre is even less.

What are your hiring requirements?

All new employees are vetted via a DBS ( Disclosure and Barring Service)  due to the nature of the type of clients we care for who are extremely vulnerable. Any “spent” criminal convictions will be considered on an individual base, but acceptance for employment will be dependant on the nature of the conviction.
